Title

Every page of a website should have a title. The title tag is defined in the head section of the page and will be displayed in search results and the title bar of the browser.

The page title is marked by the <title> ... </title> tag (not to be confused with the meta title).

Example

<title>SEO Software - Hello Engines! for search engine optimization and website promotion!</title>

The page title will be used as anchor text by search engines in their search results. This means that search engines also use the title to determine what a page is about.

The title should contain the page's main keyword and be between 35 and 75 characters long.
