SERP

SERP (Search Engine Result Pages) is an acronym used to refer to the result pages in search engines.

When searching for a keyword, the results will be sorted by relevance and displayed on multiple pages. By default each page contains 10 organic search results.

The higher a page is positioned in the SERPs, the higher is the probability that users will visit it. Basically, SEO means trying to improve the website's position in SERPs.

Search engines usually display a snippet of the page's title and description to give the user a first impression of the page.
