URL

The URL (Uniform Resource Locator) is the address of a website or web page as it's displayed in the browser's address bar. The URL of a website consists of the domain, the TLD, the name of the folders on the server and the file name of the HTML document.

When a user visits a website, the URL can contain either a number of characters without any meaning, or - if the webmaster invested a little time and thought in the website - clear names without a lot of numbers and special characters.

Single words should be separated by hyphens.
