Hyperlink

A hyperlink, usually called only link, is a reference to another page.

Depending on the target of the link there are two types of hyperlinks:

An internal link is a hyperlink to another position in the text or another page of the same website.

An external link is a hyperlink to a page of another website.

Hyperlinks are embedded in anchor tags and have an anchor text.
