A browser (short for web browser), is a software designed to display content from the World Wide Web. The action of using a browser is referred to as “browsing” or “surfing”.

The most popular browsers are Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera and Safari.

If a website's source code is free of errors, there will be no problems displaying it in current browsers. Correctly displayed websites are usually visited more often and more visits can also improve the website’s ranking.
