XML is an acronym for Extensible Markup Language, a highly structured markup language that is very similar to HTML.
Webmasters use XML to create or expand documents in the World Wide Web that were created with another markup language. XML makes the implementation of e.g. e-commerce, B2C and B2B much easier and can be interpreted by computers as well as by humans.
